General Information

Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization is a family support and resource organization that has been serving families in Palm Beach County, Florida for over 30 years. Started in the traditional way as a group that supports families of young children, our organization has grown as our children have grown. Today we serve families with new babies as well as adults with Down syndrome. We strive to welcome all families and encourage you to join us at one of our many activities which may be a social and/or educational opportunity.  We are an empowered group of individuals who are advocating for our children that they may have a whole and valued life in their community.

Florida Developmental Disabilities Council

Social Groups - We provide a variety of opportunities for families to meet and share the joys and challenges of raising a child with Down syndrome.  This is a great place to get valuable information as well as to offer support to other parents.

Educational Advocacy - Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization offers support at IEP meetings to member families.  Part of this process involves training and being involved as a partner in your child's life long education.

Training Opportunities - Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization believes that parents are empowered by knowledge related to education and healthcare for individuals with Down syndrome.  We hold trainings and conferences here in Palm Beach County as well as provide scholarships to member families to attend local and national trainings and conferences.
