Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization believes every opportunity should be taken to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and other related disabilities so that each person may live, learn, work and play in his or her community.
We provide:

New Parent Information, Hospital Packets, and Home Visits (upon request). We encourage families of new babies or moms with a prenatal diagnosis to visit our Boynton Beach Resource Center. Families of newborns can also download the beautiful publication, A Promising Future Together: A Guide for New and Expectant Parents from the NDSS website.

Meet Greet Play and Learn Support Group and Music Therapy Program for moms and babies birth to 3 years old meets every Wednesday at our Boynton Beach Resource Center. Other family members and friends welcome, of course!

If your first language is not English, we will do our best to connect you to the resources that are most helpful to you and your family.

The Learning Program Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization is an affiliate partner of The Learning Program, developed by the Down Syndrome Foundation of Orange County, California in 2004. Click the link for more information about our local program.

Get A LIfe! Is your son or daughter with Down syndrome in high school? The transition from school to life are some of the most important years in the developing independent young people who have Down syndrome. We make these years count by providing important training about outcomes and how to navigate through the Transition IEP process. Contact us about enrolling in this parent and student class August 2016.

Exceptional Educators Program At the start of each school year for the past 5 years, Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization has trained teachers in the Palm Beach County School District who have children with Down syndrome in their general education classrooms. Click the link for more information.

Educational Advocacy Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization is committed to helping families be the best advocates they can be for their child with Down syndrome. We provide numerous parent education training opportunities and attend IEP meetings with member families. Click the link for more information.

Next Chapter Book Club (a project of the Ohio State University Nisonger Center)  A fun “club” for adults with Down syndrome and related disabilities who love literacy and socializing with friends in the community. Click the link for more information.

FL SAIL (Self-Advocates for an Independent Life) Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization is the advisor for this project. SAIL is part of Florida SAND (Self-Advocates Network’D), a project of the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council. Contact us for more information.
